Patient Support
At the Zambian Cancer Society, we believe that no one should face cancer alone. Our patient support programs are designed to provide guidance and comfort to those affected by cancer. We offer personalized advice and conduct community outreach to engage directly with patients and their families. Our support includes one-on-one counseling, support groups, and educational workshops to help patients navigate their cancer journey with confidence and hope.
Information
We are committed to raising awareness and educating the public about cancer. Our informational resources include the Tisamala Radio Drama, which uses engaging storytelling to spread knowledge about breast cancer and provide support to patients and caregivers. We also produce educational materials and conduct health promotion activities to encourage healthy lifestyles and early detection of cancer. By leveraging the power of media, we aim to reach a wide audience and break the stigma surrounding cancer.
Duku Challenge
Join us in the Dukutober Duku Challenge! This annual event invites individuals, families, and organizations to wear a Duku headwrap throughout October to show solidarity with cancer patients and raise awareness. Participate by posting photos of your Duku on social media with the hashtag #Dukutober and challenge your friends to do the same. You can also support the cause by purchasing Dukus and T-shirts from the Zambian Cancer Society, with proceeds going towards our cancer support programs.
