At the Zambian Cancer Society, we believe that no one should face cancer alone. Our patient support programs are designed to provide guidance, psychosocial support, practical support, and aid in patient navigation.
Hope Transport
Our Hope Transport initiative provides a reliable and comfortable return journey for patients post-treatment. This service ensures that the transition from hospital to home is as smooth and stress-free as possible with the help of a one way ticket.
Hope Baskets
The Hope Baskets include a range of toiletries and care essentials to aid in personal comfort during the treatment process. These baskets are a small gesture of our commitment to providing holistic care. (Suggested Image: A basket filled with essential care items, representing the tangible support offered to patients.)
Patient Navigation
Patient Navigation service offers guidance through the healthcare system, helping patients understand their treatment options, access necessary medical services, and coordinate care among different providers.
Counselling
We have community lay counselors who help to address the emotional and psychological needs of cancer patients and their families. Our counsellors are here to offer support, coping strategies, and a listening ear throughout the cancer journey.
Local Medical Tests
Where possible we assist the patients cost for the local medical tests to minimize the financial stain on the patients.
